Poem Number Eleven

 "Ghosts."

You don’t know it,

But sometimes

I wish

I was

You.

Effortless, like wind on water,

You know

Who you

Are.

Have to remind myself

To breathe.

In.

Out.

Rewind.

Start over.

Blank slate.

But remnants of prior letters

Still shadow the black,

Ghosts

Of things

I can’t

Forget.
