I'm not the most committed person in the world. Or in America. Or even just in Missouri. But I believe in starting afresh, so that's exactly what I plan to do. For a long time, I've wanted to share my work with the world. I was scared that people wouldn't like it, or worse-- they just wouldn't care. The baring of my artistic soul, while terrifying and wonderful to me, would mean nothing to humanity. I would mean nothing to humanity.
But how many chances do we miss to make our mark on society just because we're scared? How many Emily Brontës and C.S.Lewises have gone unnoticed because they were afraid to speak up? To share what they created? Well, I resolve not to be afraid of what the world may think. I believe my work and yours deserves to exist. To be. So let it. Be creative. Absorb the world in all its broken, shattered glory. And try to shape the pieces into something beautiful.
